African Library Project 2025
Updated: 6 days ago
On September 7th, 2025, our volunteer members collected, sorted and packed 13 boxes of 1004 books for the African Library Project. These books will be shipped out to Uganda soon. The name of our donated library is Amokoge Primary School Library (open to community). We hope to continue to contribute to the African Library Project (ALP), which is an international network of partners, volunteers, and community supporters. Volunteers in North America organize book drives for the ALP by rallying their communities to collect gently used children’s books and raise funds for shipping.
I’m so proud that my two kids have been part of the African Library Project for the past two years. They’ve spent hours collecting, donating, and carefully arranging books to help make these libraries possible. It’s been such a meaningful experience for them to see how their efforts can create opportunities for children and communities across the world. We’re excited to continue supporting this wonderful project!
