During the summer of 2026, we continued our literacy community outreach program with the fourth annual Inkwell Writing Workshop, which took place from August to September. This year's workshop offered in-person classes every Saturday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The workshop was a great success, with strong attendance from the start! We received positive feedback on the fun and engaging activities as well as the instructors' interactions with students.

On February 18, 2026, we led a STEM session at Reedy Creek Elementary School Engineering Club, blending our enthusiasm for AI with a commitment to community engagement. To make artificial intelligence and computer vision approachable, we created interactive games that brought core concepts to life. Through simple, hands-on activities, participants explored how machines recognize images and detect patterns—making complex ideas both fun and understandable.

We successfully held the third Western Wake Children’s Business Fair on November 8th, 2025. Around 100 child entrepreneurs came together with creativity, confidence, and impressive business ideas. Families, elected officials, and community members gathered to support the children and celebrate their entrepreneurial spirit.

On October 18, 2025, we hosted a booth at NC Science Olympiad Coach Conference STEM Expo. We combined our passion for AI and community outreach by designing interactive games that demonstrate the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and computer vision. We introduced our simple, hands-on activities to state wide Science Olympiad coaches, hoping to expand our STEM outreach to more areas and schools.

On September 7th, 2025, our volunteer members collected, sorted and packed 13 boxes of 1004 books for the African Library Project. These books will be shipped out to Uganda soon. The name of our donated library is Amokoge Primary School Library (open to community). We were thrilled to host our recent youth entrepreneurship workshop on September 3rd, 2025, bringing together aspiring young innovators for an engaging and inspiring session. The event kicked off with an introduction to the mission of WWCBF and the importance of entrepreneurship in empowering future leaders. Inkwell Writing Studio’s mission is to inspire and empower young writers to reach their full potential. The workshop offers in-person classes every Saturday and Tuesday.
